Mistake: PP can not be
dyed, can not be exposed to heat and is not
resistant to sun.
Therefore PP is a poor synthetic with a very limited usage
area.
Reality:PP can be
dyed during spinning and the color fastness is the highest amongst all the synthetic
yarns. New color development is much easier today.
Dyeable PP is already a half solved problem and will be developed in the
future. Printable PP is not anymore
a dream.
PP can resist heat more when it is combined with other yarns and not used 100% on it’s
own. PP cold finishing
and steam finishing
are
already known processes.

Anti UV treatments can protect the PP CF
yarns against
risky outdoor applications like garden furniture fabrics, automotive, etc ...

2-
Mistake:
PP is a very
rigid and high tenacity yarn and is very good for big sacks, etc.
Reality:
Actually PP CF can be produced very soft and can be consumed in very delicate
applications
(activewear,
sportswear ...).
